Often incorporating her poems into paintings, Virginia Barrett is an artist drawn to shape, bold colors and expression. She works in acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastel, and mixed media. Her work has been shown in galleries throughout San Francisco including Inclusions Gallery, Incline Gallery, and SomArts.
Forms in nature deeply influence her work, as well as sculptural pieces from many cultures. She is also drawn to abstract explorations.
